During fall 2016, PICNet’s Bug Gang will visit long-term care facilities across the Lower Mainland and in Prince George. For the past four years, our educational infection control game has been a huge hit. We are limited in the number of facilities we can visit, so be sure to book early if you’d like us to come! Please note, we can only visit facilities we have not visited before.

PICNet can visit your long-term care facility during mid-September to mid-November 2015. We can do a morning or an afternoon session (or two sessions, depending on your staffing schedule). We need a separate room, ideally with a large table that everyone can sit around, and we prefer to see the staff in groups of 8-20 people. Each session lasts about 45 minutes, although it’s best if we have a full hour so that there is time for questions and answers. There will be prizes for everyone!

Due to budget restrictions, we now charge a $200 fee for each visit.

If you are interested in having PICNet visit your facility, please complete the booking form  and submit it to us by email (picnet@phsa.ca) or fax (604-875-4373). Upon receipt, we will follow up with a phone call to confirm our visit date and to discuss your infection control week needs.

If you’d like us to visit your facility:

  • CoverCoughSubmit the application form by September 20, 2016
  • Visit dates: any time from the beginning of October to late November; please indicate your preferences on the form
  • We can only visit facilities in the Lower Mainland or Prince George, and only ones we have not visited before.
  • Preference will be given to facilities that make the workshop mandatory

If we’re unable to visit your facility or you’d like to run the workshop yourself, you can order one of PICNet’sLet’s Go Viral! workshop in-a-box kits. The kit includes the exact same game we will be hosting, with instructions and supplies; you just have to provide the prizes.
